Chalene Johnson
Explains the Top 5 Benefits
You Need To Know Regarding
TurboFire®
TurboFire Benefit
Number One:
TurboFire is cardio cross
training whereas Turbo Jam
is one type of cardio.
Basically, the difference is
the length of the workout.
TurboFire is very different
in that each cardio workout
is completely different. It
might be a HIIT which is
High Intensity Interval
Training, or it might be a
60 minute long steady cardio
workout, and then the next
day it might be a 30 minute
workout with intervals and
steady states. So, your body
is constantly guessing. You
never hit a cardio plateau
which, for those of us who
love cardio, we know that’s
easy to do. So, we do cardio
cross training in this
program.
Does it include strength
training? Of course. Does it
include stretching? Of
course, because Beachbody
always puts out a product
that is a complete program.
We address every element of
fitness with TurboFire.
Having said that, it is
focused around cardio in
much the same way Chalene
Extreme includes cardio, but
it’s clearly centered around
strength.
TurboFire Benefit
Number Two:
I need you to know, and for
me this is the big important
one... I want you to put a
big star by it. It is most
important to me. There is a
modifier in absolutely every
single workout, every single
move. That’s so important to
me. I’ve been a fitness
professional for 22 years.
I’ve been a personal trainer
for 20 years. I understand
that whether you’re 19 or
47, you might have joint
issues, which isn’t to say -
it’s not that you’re not
fit. You just have to find
ways to have a workout be
very intense, but not
necessarily jar your joints.
It’s something that we did a
phenomenal job with
TurboFire, so that even
someone who can’t jump, has
knee, ankle, back issues,
will be able to perform
these workouts without
having to figure it out
themselves how to modify it.
It’s there in every single
workout. Allie is standing
next to me and she shows you
how to modify every move
without losing intensity.
TurboFire Benefit
Number Three:
This is important because
those of you who haven’t
gone all the way through the
workouts yet, you don’t know
this yet. I didn’t know it
until I started testing the
workouts. I’m an instructor
and I teach every day
because I need to know my
workouts really work, and
how they’re going to work,
and how they’re going to
translate into the general
population. The number three
thing I need you to
understand is that the "HIIT
(High Intensity Interval
Training) workouts" are
actually a workout that even
a beginner can do. Now, that
might surprise you because
they’re definitely the most
intense, but they’re
probably the easiest for a
new person to be able to
modify and make less intense
for themselves. Let’s face
it, if you go to the gym and
you tell two people - one
who is very conditioned and
one who is de-conditioned to
work at a level ten, they
can both do it even though
it looks very different. The
HIIT workouts, because
they’re shorter, because
it’s a minute on and a
minute off or 45 seconds on
and 45 seconds off, in my
research, in my testing, the
surprising part of testing
the HIIT workouts was that
those were the workouts that
the new people could do.
They’re the ones the
de-conditioned people could
hang with because if I asked
you to do something for 45
seconds, you can do it.
TurboFire Benefit
Number Four:
The fourth thing I want you
to know about TurboFire,
which makes this program
different from Insanity®
or P90X®
and even Chalene Extreme®
is the
music. I’m not saying that
one program is better than
another when it comes to
music or that my programs in
general are better, but I’m
going to tell you and I’ll
arm wrestle Tony or Shawn or
Debbie Siebers or anybody
who wants to arm wrestle
that the music in TurboFire
for sure is the best we have
ever used. That’s why it
took so long for this
program to come out. I spent
many nights until 3:00 a.m.
in the studio with music
producers laying down sound
effects and explosive music
that makes this workout not
as tough mentally. What I
mean by that is some
workouts are tough and
they’re also tough mentally
because it’s like, “Oh, this
is so hard. I can’t get
through it. I hate this, but
I’ve got to do it. I’ve got
to be mentally tough.”
TurboFire is physically
tough, but mentally you
don’t have to be tough.
You’ll actually enjoy the
workout and that is because
of the music. The music is
off the chain. Really, it’s
ten times better than we
even did in Turbo Jam®
and I didn’t know if that
was possible, but Beachbody®
just gave us an unbelievable
budget and then they let me
be a freak about it because
I’m a freak about music and
you’re just going to trip
out at how good the music is
in TurboFire.
TurboFire Benefit
Number Five:
The last
thing I want you to know is
that TurboFire is that it is
not a girl’s workout. Just
because a girl is teaching a
workout does not mean it’s a
girl’s workout. I triple dog
dare you if you think this
workout is a girlie workout
to do it once and tell me it
has anything to do with
being male or female. It
doesn’t.
Who’s it
for? It’s for anyone, male
or female, who wants a butt
kicking cardio workout. Is
Turbo Jam probably a little
more apt to be loved by our
female customers? Sure. I’m
the first to admit that.
I’ve looked at the
demographics, but when it
comes to TurboFire, this is
so powerful and so athletic
and the drills are far less
choreographed than what you
may have experienced with
Turbo Jam that it really is
a unisex workout and I can’t
wait to see the Fit Club and
the reviews from our guys
who like a butt kicking
workout and to combine
TurboFire with your P90X or
your Chalene Extreme.
When you
get TurboFire, I think – I
hope I’m not misspoken, but
I believe it’s the first
program we’ve done where
we’ve actually included in
the calendar how you can
hybrid this workout. So, you
can combine TurboFire and
Chalene Extreme if you
want. If you don’t have
Chalene Extreme, no problem.
The strength is included in
this program.
